Posting your email campaign to Social Media sites

Posting your email campaign to Facebook & Twitter

Two things you need to know before we start:

1. Wildcards will NOT display when posting your email to either platform - this is because the link to Facebook & Twitter can't be personalised (well, not just yet)

so just keep this in mind when creating your emails.

2. If you have a scheduled email to send. The moment you hit send, the link on Facebook & Twitter will be posted immediately.

We are looking to update this ASAP, but for now, if you don't want it posted immediately you can either select not to publish it to Facebook or Twitter or you can send the email when you want it sent, without using the campaign scheduling tool.

Now that is out of the way. How you can set it up:

Creating a Professional Campaign and posting to Facebook & Twitter:

Once you have selected your contacts you want to send your email to, and you are sent back to the Campaign Checkpoints screen, and additional 'publish' area will be displayed that will look like this.

If you don't want to post your campaign to any social media sites, that's fine. You just need to skip this section and test and send your campaign as you would normally do.

When connecting to Facebook. You will need to click the 'connect' button in the connection status bar. It will direct you to Facebook where you'll need to enter your Business' or personal Facebook login information. Once connected successfully you'll automatically be redirected back to your email campaign where your connection status should be updated to "connected" with your account information and options on where to publish this campaign to. You will need to select using the 'tick-box' from your wall or pages for the campaign to be posted.

With Twitter, again you will need to click the 'connect' button in the connection status bar. It will direct you to Twitter where you'll need to enter your Business' or personal Twitter login information. Once connected successfully you'll automatically be redirected back to your email campaign where your connection status should be updated to "connected" with your account information.

Wondering what it would look like? That's OK - so did we. So we added a preview of what posts look like in each social media site. Click on "show me what it will look like" and it'll open up a preview for you.
