Adding a link to a Document within your content

To add a link to a document within yours course content you will need to:

1. Add the document you want to link under Content > Images and Files > Add Document


2. You will need to name the document and click 'browse' to search your computer for the file. Once selected press 'Upload'.

3. Click on the 'view file icon' (looks like a notepad) to open the file up in a new window.

4. Once the file is open, you will need to copy the location URL (highlighted below) to your clipboard so that you can paste it later on.

5. Once you have copied the URL, find the content page where you want to place the link to the document. To do this go to Content > List Content then select the 'edit pencil' on the content item you want to edit.

6. When viewing the content page, highlight the text (or image) you want to link and click the "insert/edit link" icon (looks like a little chain icon) and a pop up will appear.

7. In this pop-up window, select the "Appearance Tab" and in the section titled "link list" paste the URL we copied earlier, click 'insert.

8. The text or image you selected should now be a link to that document.
